Regattas, prom and Earth Day
Busy day in Oak Ridge today, well actually this whole weekend.
The Dogwood regatta was today with many different high school groups coming from as far as the Chicago area. Gabriel got 4th in one race and 1st in another. He is hot and tired and came home wanting ice cream, which he and his friend went to buy at the store.
Oak Ridge High School prom is tonight and Anna is getting ready as I type this, pictures will come later! Max, our exchange student, is also going to prom tonight, with another exchange student.
Today was also the annual Earth Day celebration and Anna helped at that for a little this morning. She will also be with her 2nd grade class tomorrow as they celebrate their First Holy Communion. She is with the 2nd grade as a teacher's aide for this final quarter.
Anna received a 94 on her Economics project. She had to come up with a business and ended up with a 30+ page report complete with employment applications and vision statements. Her project was a Music themed summer camp for kids--wonder how she came up with that idea?
May will be full of one banquet or celebration or concert after another as the school year ends. I think that there is something every other day in May. I am looking forward to June 2nd, when it will be a little less hectic!

Happy Easter
They have been saying all our plans are empty.
They have been saying "Where is their God now?"
Roll away the stone see the Glory of God. Roll away the stone.
They have been saying no one will remember.
They have been saying Power rules the world.
Roll away the stone see the Glory of God. Roll away the stone.
They have been saying no one hears the singing.
They have been saying all our strength is gone.
Roll away the stone see the Glory of God. Roll away the stone.
They have been saying "All of us are dying."
They have been saying "All of us are dead."
Roll away the stone see the Glory of God. Roll away the stone.

Happy Holy Week and Triduum
Holy Week started on Sunday with a sunny and breezy Palm Sunday. Today it was cold and it actually snowed. What crazy weather.
We will again recall the stories of our faith this week during Holy Week and Triduum, which is the shortest Liturgical Season of the year. It is also my favorite time of the year and we are at every celebration.
The year is soon wrapping up with school as Anna only has another month or so and will graduate!! So hard to believe it's already her senior year.
