Lots going on

Anna has an interview tomorrow for her summer job. If she gets it, she will be gone most of June and July as a camp counselor at Camp Tanasi (Girl Scout camp). She has signed up to help with Drama and Cooking. Perfect fit, if you ask me! Other than that, she has been busy with rehearsals for "Once Upon a Mattress" and loving it! She turns 16 this week, but most likely won't get her license right away. She still has more driving to do. (They need 50 documented hours behind the wheel before they can get their license.)

Gabriel is already in spring rowing, even though it's 40 degrees outside! It actually might snow tonight, or so I've heard. He is also gearing up for some Math Team trips. He will be in Alabama later this month and he made it to the state finals for Mathcounts. He is studying extra for that one, as this is his last year he is eligible (only a middle school competition).

Marian will be busy this weekend making bookmarks for her class for Valentine's Day. What started years ago, has now become her traditional Valentine's for her classmates. It is very easy, as she doesn't have to personalize each one, she just makes 20 bookmarks, I laminate them and off she goes!

Bogdan has been working lots lately. His new electric car is attracting people like a magnet to it. Everyone either asks him about it or wants a ride in it. He is very eager to share about it with anyone. And I just finished our taxes and we are getting an nice rebate thanks to the new car!

Finished all the costumes for the play, now we just need to get to all the little things. Adding fringe, adding an extra piece of material for a tunic, etc. We've only had one emergency, when the tunic for the King was not back from a costume rental (from the local Oak Ridge Playhouse). So, we decided to make our own tunic and I've assigned the best seamstress to take on the task. Overall, the play is looking good and the kids are doing lots of work to make it a great production.

Girl Scout cookies arrive this week and I will have to see about fitting 75 cases of cookies in my car, I am thinking of asking someone (with a bigger car) to swap for the day. Will see...
