Anna was in DC at the March 4 Life. She went with the Youth Group, drove all night on Thursday and hit the ground running on Friday. All day doing the March on Friday and then a little bit of tourist-y stuff on Saturday before driving all night on Saturday and then arriving home early this morning. She has slept and had a great time.
While she was gone, we had an ice storm (TN version). And of course, school was cancelled on Friday, so Anna missed nothing. The other kids spent the day relaxing.
Gabriel went snowboarding yesterday to WV with the Ski club at the high school. He loves it and will do 2-3 more trips in February with the club.
Marian is out selling GS cookies with Bogdan and he said as he left "You owe me one". Not a fun thing to do, but her goal is 400 boxes.

Birthday happenings
Marian has a birthday party tonight with her friends, who are headed to Tataru's gymnastic center for some tumbling fun. Then they will come home and sleep, maybe..
Marian is very excited and been getting the house all ready. It is so convenient to send Anna to the store for last minute items.
Anna has been busy with Sound of Music rehearsals, and getting ready to go to DC next weekend for the March for Life. The following weekend she has Confirmation retreat.
Gabriel caught some poison ivy the last camping trip he went on, but with some cream and drugs, it is mostly gone.
And they are both busy with picking classes for next year already.

Back to Normal
Kids are back in school and have mostly been on time these past 2 days. Getting up at 6am is no fun, especially after most days in vacation they slept until noon.
Anna is already reading Huck Finn for English and finding it interesting, but a bit hard to read. Her teacher suggested they also listen to the book on tape (or online).
Gabriel back to winter conditioning for rowing, hard to believe but they will be on the water in 2 months. It has been hovering around freezing weather all week, so he is glad they are indoors, but the boathouse is not heated!! Still very cold workouts.
Sound of Music rehearsals and production is underway. Anna is a nun and a trio (one of the singing groups in the final scene). She is excited. Costumes have begun and some are already done, just need fittings.
