Prize winning pie

Fall Festival at the Parish (Karen wins 2nd place in pie contest)

Chocolate Pecan Pie

1 cup light brown sugar

1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 eggs

1 TBS flour

1 TBS milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup pecans chopped

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Prepared 9 inch pie crust

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat eggs until foamy, stir in melted butter. Add in sugars and flour, mix well. Add milk vanilla nuts and chocolate chips.

Pour into 9 inch shell. Turn oven up to 400 and cook for 10 minutes then reduce oven to 350 and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.

Pie may be darker because of chocolate chips (don’t be alarmed!), make sure pie is set and done before taking out.
